Lynx Browser

Postby littlepeaks » Fri Apr 22, 2016 11:34 pm

Every once in a while, I see a link in a forum, or get some spam, etc, and wonder if the links actually contain a virus, or what. So, being a curious sort, this evening I installed the Lynx browser on my PC (welcome to the past folks -- yes Lynx still exists). I wouldn't think there's much chance of getting a virus by using a text-only browser. :icon_cheesygrin: (You can all tell me how wrong I am).

It's interesting that it's still around. I was reading through the wiki and they have a comparison photo showing how Lynx and Firefox render the same page:

My browser doesn't have as much vertical real estate, as the wiki image. I don't see any way to change it -- I can't drag the window to make it longer. I even tried opening it with a Command Prompt window, and it shrinks to the smaller size. I think the Linux version is much more customizable.
