Really could use some help on SIMAP

"SIMAP is a database of protein similarities and protein domains. It contains about all currently published protein sequences and is continuously updated. Protein similarities are computed using the FASTA algorithm which provides optimal speed and sensitivity. Protein domains are calculated using the InterPro methods and databases. SIMAP is to our knowledge the only project that combines comprehensive coverage with respect to all known proteins and incremental update capabilities."

Is this CPU or GPU based?
How long are the WU's?

SIMAP is CPU only . . .

They run about 2 hours on strong processors and pay roughly 82 stones.

Since you've posted this in the Base Camp forum, are you looking for help from the Base Campers? You may also want to post in Base Camp's Outpost (other projects) forum. You'll have to register first if you haven't already.

I'm not a member of the Base Campers, but I would welcome help from them or any comers:

. . . Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, National Guard, Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Team BOINCstats has a huge rivalry with L'Alliance Francophone and I would love to win one for a chance.

Ok, I wasn't sure if you were specifically asking for help by the Base Camp folks. I've moved the topic into the BOINC Projects/Other Projects forum.

Looks like your ahead.

How do you read this:

Team Name Rank Credit -1:00 -2:00 -4:00 -8:00 -16:00 -32:00

What's the -1:00, etc? Hours?

So far Team BOINCstats is ahead, but L'Alliance Francophone and the possibility of a huge last minute flush is there.

The -1, -2, -4 are the stats at that time.

Came up with a crunching strategy that works for me:

1 core and 5750 on WCG/HCC, the 660 on GPUGrid, 15 cores on SIMAP.

.. . thanks for your assistance on SIMAP.
